The right silicone bag design can make or break whether or not people are delighted with your product and whether or not they come again or even become your detractors with a negative review. Mistake 1 – Prioritizing Looks Over Function and User Experience

Numerous brands get hooked on an adorable design or popular silhouette on the screen, but are faced with a problem once they actually purchase the bag: it is difficult to use. Tight openings are hard to fill, and complicated curves collect particles of food or cosmetics. Decorative features also may cause problems sealing or stacking.

Keep art simple when using silicone: use large form, strong contrast and minimal colors. Place logos away from seals, bends on flat low-stress surfaces. Communicate early with the printing team to check for realistic sizes and locations, and for print samples for approval. 

Mistake 6 – Forgetting Regulatory and Safety Requirements in Early Design

There are some teams that decide the shape and appearance, then find out that the selected pigments or thickness or accessories will not meet food contact or children’s product standards. This can result in expensive material change or loss of variations.
